Hi! I’m Lauren, and I can’t wait to help you! Helping people is my passion! I know what it’s like to be frustrated, overwhelmed, or stuck! My goal is to give you or your organization clarity and help you uncover the steps you need to take to move forward.
I believe:
- It’s important to establish the vision of your life or your organization so that you know where you’re headed.
- Lasting change comes from small consistent actions that compound over time.
- You must accept where you are now in order to move forward. You can’t fix a problem that you won’t acknowledge.
- Most people are happier when they are growing and challenging themselves. Stagnation leads to discouragement and discontentedness.
- People typically know the outcome they want. They just can’t figure out how to get there.

My Story
I am a teacher at heart. That will never change. I’ve always wanted to teach in some way. Many times, as a little girl, I lined my stuffed animals up in my bedroom and pretended to teach them. I longed for the day when I could help others learn. Through my career I have learned that the heart of teaching is inspiring others and getting people to see and reach their potential.
I have been a teacher and leader in both public and private settings. The only thing that has changed over the years is where and who I teach and lead. I started out as a high school social studies teacher and decided to take a step back from full-time teaching when my children were born. However, I continued teaching and tutoring part-time for seven years in a charter school, where I also served as department head and wrote an economics curriculum that was used at every site of the charter school. Once I discovered my knack for writing curriculum, I formed an LLC and began selling my curriculum on Teachers Pay Teachers. Eventually, my store made its way into the top 6th percentile of stores based on sales. During that time, I also had a podcast and website.

Over the years, while homeschooling my three children, I made a commitment to never stop learning and trying new things. I’ve dabbled in marketing, taught myself WordPress, made websites for several local businesses, coordinated church functions, and coached youth basketball. I also started and administered a homeschool co-op with over 25 families. Now, when I’m not coaching or training, I teach part-time and serve as the social studies academic advisor for a local homeschool hybrid program.
Why Coaching & Training?
Throughout my career, I’ve led various trainings in different environments and taught countless people. I’ve always longed to do more; to go beyond the “lesson” and help people in lasting ways. I began coaching in the fall of 2025. What started as private adult speech therapy sessions for a stroke patient suddenly turned into coaching! Instead of just helping him with speech, I was helping him with his attitude and purpose…and it felt AMAZING! And so, I fell in love with coaching as a different way of teaching. Now I enjoy teaching individuals how to recognize where they need to grow and learn how to grow themselves!
I’ve seen the result of poor leadership (haven’t we all), and I’ve seen the result of excellent leadership. Good leadership is founded in personal growth and a desire to serve others. I long to help others become good leaders so that they and the people working with them can thrive. I joined the Maxwell Leadership Coaching and Training Program in 2026 so that I could sharpen my coaching and training skills. I love being a part of the Maxwell Team and can’t wait to use the skills and insights I have learned to help you or your organization make true progress towards your goals!
